An overlay or texture is an image designed to be added or "layered" on top of your image to create depth, tonal variation or a specific effect. 

This will normally be a JPEG or PNG file, depending on the individual product and the effect promised. Please read the individual product description to find out more about the texture pack or overlay collection you are interested in.

You may find that the set you purchase comes with a complimentary Photoshop Action to help you apply the overlays to your image and blend effortlessly. You will need Adobe Photoshop to run these actions. Once you install your LSP Action set into Photoshop, it will always be there for you whenever you wish to use it and however you wish to apply it. You can find out more about Photoshop Actions above.

The LSP Actions overlays and textures can be used by beginners and experts alike - but it is recommended you have a basic understanding of Photoshop and know your way around the basics to give you the best head start. 

It's recommended you have basic knowledge of Layer Masks and blend modes.

You can use the LSP Textures and Overlays in any image editing program that allows you to use layers and blending modes. 

Some of the overlay sets have a Photoshop Action included as an optional extra. The LSP Actions are designed for use in Adobe Photoshop Creative Cloud in English. Some of the LSP Actions can be used in earlier versions of Photoshop CS2 - CS6 or Photoshop Elements (PSE) but this depends on the individual action set - Please read the product description of each action set to find out if the included actions will work with your version of Photoshop or Elements.
